Laura has been in the counseling field for over 15 years and has worked in settings such as schools, substance abuse programs, and domestic/IPV agencies in addition to private practice. Laura specializes in Complex and/or Developmental Trauma, Attachment, and ADHD. Laura is passionate about engaging in ongoing training and staying up-to-date with the latest research on treatment modalities and uses her extensive training to individualize sessions to best meet each client’s identified goals. Laura’s goal is to help clients navigate challenges with self-compassion and confidence, using their innate strengths to create lasting change.
With a client-centered and strength-based approach, Laura strives to create a supportive and empowering space where individuals can explore their experiences, build resilience, and foster meaningful growth.

Meet Brinley
Therapist
Brinley is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in supporting adults, children, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, and attachment concerns. She offers both in-person sessions and virtual therapy to ensure care is flexible and accessible for clients across Maryland.
Her approach is client-centered and collaborative, drawing from multiple evidence-based modalities including EMDR, CBT, Play Therapy, Sand Tray, and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). With advanced training and multiple certifications in EMDR, she provides tailored treatment that helps clients address the lasting effects of trauma, reduce anxiety, manage ADHD, and build practical skills for everyday life.
In her work with children and families, she emphasizes the importance of the caregiver-child relationship, helping parents strengthen connection and resilience. In her work with adults, she provides a supportive space to process emotions, manage stress, and create meaningful change.
She feels privileged to walk alongside clients on their healing journey and is dedicated to creating a safe, empowering environment where growth is possible.
